Terms of service
1. Who we are
yip.co.uk is operated by Healtha Medical Ltd, trading as YIP Pharmacy, a pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (premises 9012473, Office 11, 22 Milnpark Street, Glasgow G41 1BB; registered office 124-128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX; VAT registration 504 7585 83). Superintendent Pharmacist: Aisha Ismail, GPhC 2067698. Contact: help@yip.co.uk, 0808 169 9594.
2. The service
We provide pharmacy services online: over-the-counter products, pharmacy medicines subject to a pharmacist's check, and prescription-only medicines supplied only after an online clinical assessment reviewed by a registered prescriber. Completing an assessment is a request for a consultation, not an order for a medicine. The prescriber decides whether any treatment is clinically appropriate, may recommend a different treatment or dose than the one you prefer, and may decline to supply. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of supply.
3. Your responsibilities
Our clinicians rely on your answers. You must answer assessment and pharmacist questions honestly, completely and about yourself only; medicines we supply are for your personal use and must not be given to anyone else. You must be 18 or over to order (or the age stated for a specific treatment) and update us if your health or medicines change during ongoing treatment. Providing false information can make a medicine dangerous for you, and is grounds for refusing supply and closing your account.
4. Verification
Some treatments legally require identity or clinical verification before supply - for weight management, your height and weight must be verified by video call or through clinical records. Orders cannot be approved until this is complete.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. For consultation-based treatments you save a payment card when you submit your consultation. Nothing is charged at that point. By saving your card you authorise us to charge it for the treatment and price your prescriber confirms, if and when they approve supply. If the prescriber declines, nothing is charged and your saved card is removed. If you choose a subscription, you also authorise us to charge the same saved card for each renewal, but only after you have completed that renewal's check-in and a prescriber has approved it. We email you before every renewal, and you can pause or cancel at any time before a renewal is approved. Cards are stored by our payment provider, Square; we never see or keep your full card number. Prices may change, but not for an order you have already placed.
6. Delivery
Standard tracked delivery is free; faster options are priced at checkout. All parcels are plain and unbranded. Medicines requiring signature or age verification may need someone over 18 to receive them. Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel goes missing, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier; medicines confirmed lost in transit are replaced or refunded.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Because medicines cannot legally be resold once they leave the pharmacy, the usual 14-day distance-selling cancellation right does not apply to medicinal products once dispensed. You can cancel a consultation order at any point before the prescriber approves it, at no cost. Non-medicinal products can be returned unopened within 14 days of delivery for a refund. Anything faulty, damaged or supplied in error is always replaced or refunded - contact help@yip.co.uk. Returned medicines are destroyed, never restocked.
8. Subscriptions and ongoing treatment
Subscription treatments renew at the interval shown when you order. Every renewal includes a clinical check, and completing scheduled reviews is a condition of continued supply - renewals are paused if a review is overdue. Before each renewal we email you a short check-in; your renewal is only reviewed, charged and dispatched once you have completed it and a prescriber has approved it. You can pause or cancel a subscription at any time before a renewal is approved, using the link in any renewal email or by contacting us.
9. Our liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, our liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for that order. The information on this site supports, but does not replace, advice from clinicians who know your full history; if symptoms are new, severe or changing, contact your GP or NHS 111.
10. Complaints
We take complaints seriously - the process, timescales and escalation routes (including to the GPhC) are set out on our complaints page.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you keep the protections of your local consumer law. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version in force when you order applies to that order.
